How to make cogs out of cardboard

Yesterday I learnt how cogs work. I have also learnt how to make cogs out of cardboard. I used a

ruler, pencil and a scissors. First I cut out the cardboard in a circle. Then I drew another circle in the middle. I cut the teeth of the cog on the circle. After  I finished I put in a pencil in each cog. Mr  Ramkolowan took a photo of Etai and me with our cogs. Etai’s cogs was big and my cog was small. I was holding the cog and Etai was moving the other cog around and my cog was turning.

Netbook Reflection 2012

We have had our netbooks for 2 terms. We used our netbooks for learning to do writing, maths,  and reading. We used our netbooks for commenting on people's blogs too. 

We share our work on the blogs so people can read our writing. When we comment on people's blog we have to be positive and specific. We make connections and ask questions. 

We use our netbooks to learn faster. We use our netbooks to search online and to create things on Google Apps. We use our netbooks to be smart and to create interesting things to share.

Without my netbook learning would be boring.

The lost bag.

Early on a rainy morning  Sam walked to school with his friends. Sam had just come out of hospital,  because he had a broken arm. Sam, Ben, Tane and James went to school and put their bags on their chair and went outside to play on the playground with the other boys.
At morning tea Sam lost his bag in class. Sam’s friends were helping him look for his school bag.  Tane found his bag under his desk and he was so happy to get his bag back.

The Halloween day.

One sunny day it was halloween.  Melissa and I want to the scariest house.
“Mum” did you buy my  costume for halloween? Melissa and I want to every house by knocking on doors by doors. When Melissa and I want to a house and  we said trick or treating smell my feet give me something nice to eat. It was the 31 of October to have halloween. Melissa and I were so happy we have halloween day.

When Melissa was walking on the path,  Meilssa fall on the path and she trip over a rock and she hurt herself and then she starts to cry.

THE BEST DAY AT THE SUPERMARKET

ON SUNNY DAY MY MUM AND I WANT TO THE SUPERMARKET.
THEN SHE TOOK ME TO MY FRIENDS HOUSE. MY FRIENDS NAME WAS TIMOTHY.IT WS COOL AT MY FRIENDS HOUSE BECAUSE WE WERE PLAYING TOUNCH OUTSIDE.IT WAS FUN AND THEN WE HAD DINNR.I HAD A SLEEP OVER AT TIMOTHY house.

when I woke up  I saw timothy stuck in the mud.
i was so sad because timothy was stuck in the mud. then I went inside his house.
when I went inside i told his mum and  she went and helped him out of the mud. Then she got him out of the mud after all. Then timothy was so happy because his mum got him out of the mud.After that I went home with my mum in the car.

Soccer is my favourite sport in the olympics

Soccer is the the best.

My favourite Olympic Sport is soccer.  This sport is played  on are grassy green field. It is a team sport. There are 11 strong players and brave players. The current olympics Champanions for the London 2012 Olympics is the USA.

Soccer  is my favourite sport because it keeps me fit and healthy.  Soccer makes you fit when you move around.  To play soccer you just have to do skills for long hours and this makes you get fit.

Another reason Soccer is my favourite sport is because you get a large amount of money when you play and win. You also get famous you get lots of money.

The next reason that soccer is my favourite sport  is  when you play you can win a gold medal, silver medal or a Bronze medal.

Finally soccer  is my favourite sport because I score many goals and this makes me happy.

Soccer is my favourite sport in the olympics.
